Miroslav Mitrofanov: “The Government Plan to Vaccinate Children is Like Adding Fuel to the Fire”

‎Miroslav MITROFANOV, a politician with the Latvian Russian Union and a journalist, on December 2nd stated on the Latvian government approach towards the vaccination, “The Latvian government is systematically and as if deliberately making unforgivable mistakes in communicating with people on the issue of vaccination”.‎

He says, “The most recent of these errors is the most critical. The government has loudly announced plans to start mass vaccination of children. And this is at the background of complete lack of trust towards both the government itself and the vaccination as such among people”.‎

Miroslav Mitrofanov is quoted as saying, “There is no practical sense in vaccinating children, even if the vaccine is not dangerous for them. It is the parents who should be given the opportunity to decide if they consider it necessary for their child. But what kind of mass vaccination we are talking about when it refers to a group for which the virus poses practically no danger?! It’s not just pointless, it’s like intentionally adding fuel to a fire that’s just starting to fade a bit!”‎
