Neither a bulldozer nor a tractor are capable to destroy our memory and our dignity – that was the prevailing sentiment of those people who self-organised to go to the Monument to the Liberators to bring again flowers to it.
By the evening there was an enormous flower carpet laid by the monument which is the reason for genuine happiness and pride for all residents of Riga who found time today to come again to pay tribute to the memory of our fathers, grandfathers and greatgrandfathers.
