The protest rally announced for May 13 was banned. The Riga city council and the Latvian authorities are afraid to hear what we want to tell them. Therefore, they misuse their power to not let us do anything.
The rally is not going to be held today. The police declared their readiness to apply force against all those who would come to the Ratushnaya square at 3 pm.
We are calling on all of you to not come to the Riga city council today as we can not act irresponsibly.
But we are not going to stay silent! The decisions taken by the authorities have already overreached the boundaries. On receiving the court ruling we are going to announce a new date fo rthe rally. Right now we are as united as never before and it is the source of our strength. We are not going to give in.
