On October 20 the Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia made a decision to subsidize the salaries of those workers who are forced to stop working due to the introduction of a lock-down in the country.<\/p>\n
According to the decision by the government, subsidies in crisis conditions will be allocated only to those who have completed or at least started a course of vaccination.<\/p>\n
The Latvian Russian Union states that they consider this decision to be contrary not only to legal norms, but also to common sense and moral principles.<\/p>\n
They state that it is completely unacceptable to stimulate vaccination by such methods. Latvian Russian Union states, \u201dtoday the authorities have decided to punish all unvaccinated residents of Latvia. They have already endured as all the other residents of Latvia, the restrictions which the authorities had to introduce but now they are being his financially\u201d. The Latvian Russian Union states, \u201dsuch a decision means that the vaccination ceases to be a free choice: non-payment of a compensation, while the state prohibits an employee to perform their job duties, can be considered to be equal to financial sanctions\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Latvian Russian Union expresses their confidence that \u201dby taking an opportunity to work from people, the government should compensate all the financial losses to each and everyone as much as possible\u201d. People\u2019s financial situation \u201cshould not suffer from the restrictions imposed\u201d, points out the Latvian Russian Union. –\u00a0 especially now in a situation of drastic increase in prices for all communal services and the beginning of the heating season\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Latvian Russian Union calls on the Cabinet of Ministers to immediately reconsider their decision on the procedure for the payment of compensations and to ensure that they are paid to every common resident of Latvia who are forced to stay out of work. To stimulate the rate of the vaccination, more acceptable methods ought to be chosen, including communicating and providing the information to people in their own language.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
